India and Pakistan battle nerves to clinch final ticket


India and Pakistan face enormous expectations from their fans in cricket-crazy when they clash on Wednesday for a spot in the World Cup final. Anything but a victory is a shock to either set of fans when the neighbors who have fought three wars since their independence in 1947, meet at Mohali under a heavy blanket of security.
The presence of prime ministers of both countries in the stands will also add a political fervor for the game.

"The biggest, distinguished guests will be there to watch the game, but they are here to enjoy cricket, so we have to be at our best," India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni told reporters on the eve of the match .
nd rely on their batting line-up of power while Pakistan will pin their hopes on variety of bowling in the match, which has captured the imagination of the subcontinent.

Batting mainstay Sachin Tendulkar will take another shot at glory when he goes to the crease needing a century to complete over a hundred tons internationally.
