The secret life of Osama bin Laden
AWhile the US-led forces have been hunting Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan of unruly tribal areas for years, the head of al-Qaeda has lived a secluded life in a mansion million in the Pakistani garrison town Abbottabad for five years, according to one of his wives. Bin Laden is generally confined to two or three bedrooms and never went outside, she told officials of the Pakistani army.
The report said women and children found in the enclosure consisted of three wives of bin Laden.
Military officials also said that the daughter of bin Laden, found in the chamber, told them she had seen his father killed the top floor of a building and then dragged down a staircase.
A knottier problem may be the fate of children of bin Laden. They can now be stateless because the state of Saudi-born terrorist citizenship revoked.
The children - ages 4 to 12 - and are kept in a safe house in Rawalpindi.
While Pakistan Foreign Ministry has said it wants to repatriate the children in their country of origin, this may be difficult given that Saudi Arabia had revoked the citizenship of bin Laden in 1994.
