Mubarak has heart problems in questioning
CAIRO: Hosni Mubarak has been in hospital after suffering heart problems during his interrogation, following protests by reformists who said the former president was protected against prosecution by the military leadership of the Egypt.
Mubarak became ill on Tuesday during an investigation into the killing of demonstrators in a revolution that overthrew, and corruption in his administration.
State television said Wednesday his two son were under investigation for corruption and would be detained for 15 days.
General of Egypt, Mubarak leave office since February 11, faced calls from increasingly strong demonstrators in Cairo Tahrir Square for Mubarak and his allies to stand trial.
The soldiers on Tuesday broke a five-day sit-in on the square, which became the epicenter of the insurgency in January.
There were conflicting reports on the state of Mubarak. One report said he was in intensive care after a "heart attack" during interrogations. Another said he was fit enough to be interviewed at the hospital in the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
