Lastest Windows Update
April 12, Microsoft patched a record 64 vulnerabilities in Windows, Office, Internet Explorer (IE) and other software, including the 30 bugs in Windows device driver and kernel in IE has been operating Pwn2Own hacking contest last month.
The company also delivered a long-discussed "backport" of Office 2003 and Office 2007 which meets one of the features of the latest security in Office 2010 for early editions.
The 17 updates, which Microsoft dubs "bulletins," tied a record set last year, but was easily defeated in October 2010 to mark the total number of defects are fixed. In total, the updates patched 64 vulnerabilities, 15 more than in October and 24 more than the former collection of second place in December 2010.
Nine of the 17 ballots were "pegged" critical, "Microsoft's ranking highest threat, while the rest were marked" important "label next most-serious.
Microsoft and virtually all security experts attached several updates that users should download and install it immediately.
"There are three we think are priorities," said Jerry Bryant, Group Manager with the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC), in a previous interview, April 12. Bryant tagged MS11-018 MS11-019 and MS11 -020 that updates as soon as possible.
