'American Idol' Top 8 results April 14,Paul McDonald, Haley Reinhart, Stefano Langone

The "American Idol" Top 8 Songs Played Cinema and overall, we found the week a bit meh - So who went home?

The bottom 3 is down to Haley Reinhart, Stefano Langone and Paul McDonald, operated with Paul as one who had to leave this week.

But before reaching the elimination, we had few other highlights:

Jennifer Lopez came out looking like she auditioned for Cleopatra in space.
Lauren and Scotty made Lady Antebellum "American Honey" and it was nice. Lauren handled the party girl with more aplomb than Scotty does the party boy, but he is the title happened.
There was a video depicting the making of music video zombie Ford, who was actually a bit cool and not boring, like most of these filler bits.
Haley and Casey dueted on "Moanin '" and it was pretty impressive. Their voices are very complementary and Haley's hair was incredible.
Kelly Clarkson (squeeeee) and Jason Aldean were on hand to perform "Do not Want You to Stay" and it was lovely. What a beautiful song.
A quartet of mop-top Liverpool Soggy Bottom Boys Folksmen Jacob, Jacques, Paul and Stefano made "The Sound of Silence" / "Mrs. Robinson" and it was ... yikes. I mean, seriously? Simon and Garfunkel is the call of the Gospel, Rocker, panting and Broadway? Are you kidding me with this?
Paul sang on our second favorite performance by him, "Maggie Mae". Fun way to end the night.

Did the right person to go home? We think that probably for the first time in the Top 13 the right person at home, actually. Although we do love Paul "Folsom Prison Blues." Appointments later, Guy folk rocker weird.
