Fast bowler Harmison suffers cracked forearm
LONDON: Durham fast bowler Steve Harmison is likely to miss next three games of the County Championship after suffering a fractured forearm. X-rays revealed a crack occurred when Harmison was hit on the forearm in first innings against Hampshire in Durham at the Rose Bowl last week.
"Stephen, the non-strikers end, was hit by a car of Phil Mustard," Durham coach Geoff Cook told BBC Sport. "There will be two or three weeks before playing again."
Harmison played just two deliveries during Hampshire first innings and did not bowl for the rest of the match. Durham next three games are against Yorkshire, Sussex and Warwickshire. The arm injury is the latest setback in the career of the crimper 32-year-old whose last played for England in 2009 Ashes.
