World Cup: India beat Australia to set up semis with Pakistan
Ahmedabad: India registered a sensational victory of five stop to oust the defending champions Australia with14 spare balls in the second quarter final of the tenth World Cup here at the Sardar Patel stadium on Thursday.
Now they will meet Pakistan in the semifinals to play March 30 at Mohali.
Chasing a modest total of 261, India completed the victory with the help of three half-centuries in 47.4 overs.
Yuvraj Singh was the top scorer with 57 not to be followed by Sachin Tendulkar (53) and Gautam Gambhir (50).
