Terror bid during world Cup 2011

ISLAMABAD: Secretary General of Interpol Ronald Nobel revealed that the submission of terror during the World Cup 2011 has been foiled.

He was addressing a joint press conference after his meeting with Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Rehman Malik said the Taliban have tried to enter India, adding that some people were arrested, but none of them was a Pakistani national.

Rehman while demanding immediate action against these fanatics involved in the desecration of Holy Quran urged the Secretary General of Interpol to play its role. Ronald said that this law will promote the agenda of terrorists.

He said a man who has traveled to the Maldives was arrested in Karachi during the World Cup, adding that the man wants to conduct terrorism in Sri Lanka.

On occasion, Rehman Malik said Pakistan had exchanged intelligence information to thwart terrorism bid.
