Afridi accuses Indian media of negative campaign
NEW DELHI: Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has accused the Indian media on Monday to conduct a negative campaign against his team before Wednesday eagerly anticpated World Cup semi-final in Mohali.
"It is so negative in the Indian media. There is nothing good to watch on the channels and we just stick together as a team and it is fair to the hotel and land to us," said Afridi a news channel.
"The only answer we can give you is our performance. We will try to give 110 percent in this great game.
"Everybody knows the extent of a game it is and the pressures that go with it. But we'll just do our best whatever the outcome. After the game we want to just be content in our hearts we have given our best. "
Afridi also said that Pakistan was planning to play their controversial fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar.
"I also want him to play, but we have not made a final decision has yet been taken. And we must take into account its condition and shape match we will see in the nets, "said Afridi.
"We want him in such high-level game, but we do not want to just four or five overs, we want him to bowl his quota of overs,"
