Sri Lanka clinch semi-final spot
COLOMBO: Sri Lanka's two openers scored unbeaten centuries on Saturday as World Cup co-host sailed effortlessly into the semifinals with an overwhelming 10-wicket victory over England.
England stuttered to 229-6 on an easy, slow wicket at Premadasa Stadium, which will be difficult to stick. Sri Lanka replied with 231-0 from 39.3 overs, the distribution of four and six years to the delight of the home crowd.
