Bookies relish as Pakistan-India battle for cup

PESHAWAR: Bookmakers, people who take on Paris and other sporting events, expect record sales in the wake of Pakistan-India teams clash for the historic Cricket World Cup March 30.

"We make reservations for the next game record of Pak-India to be played in Mohali (India)," revealed a bookmaker, who requested anonymity.

We expect to do business on the semi-final between teams from rivals is more than even the final of the World Cup, said the bookmaker who makes paris in the region of the inner city.

"It was really a dream of bookmakers that teams of Pak-India came face to face in the semi-final or final of the competition in cricket," he said.

"Keeping in view the rush of booking, I expect windfall profits March 30," said another bookmaker, known as Badshah by its customers.

Badshah said outside of Paris on the game than those who will become victorious, Paris will also be posted during the crucial hours of the game. During the critical phase of the game, paris are performed on each ball and we win more, "he added.

Currently, he said, the favorite team is Pakistan and the people are mostly to invest on their own team.
