Tony Robinson, 64, marries lover less than half his age

It was not too long ago he said he would never remarry.

But Tony Robinson, yesterday tied the knot with her lover - who happens to be less than half his age.

Robinson, 64, married Louise Hobbs, 30, in the picturesque town of Ravello on the Amalfi Coast beautiful.

And like his character in Blackadder Baldrick would say, the actor came with a "very cunning plan" for the ultra-secret ceremony.

The event had to be held in the afternoon, but was traded at the last minute for lunch to preserve the privacy of the couple.

The bride, who at 5ft 8in 5ft 4in towers over her Beau, arrived separately from Robinson - but the couple separated with tradition by leaving separately.

And unfortunately, the ceremony in the Palazzo Tolla 800 years took place in a soundtrack is not the classic Neapolitan love songs, but the hammers and hammers.

Construction of City Hall have seen recent marriages conducted in a nearby park overlooking the sea - but Robinson, the presenter of Channel 4 series Time Team Archaeology, insisted inside head they.

Robinson left Marie Berger, his wife of 20 years and the mother of his two children in 1992 to 35 years old singer-songwriter Teri Bramah. Two years later, he vowed never to marry again, calling marriage "a mistake".
