Nickelodeon renews 'iCarly' for fifth season

LOS ANGELES: Nickelodeon has renewed the series iCarly Miranda Cosgrove for a fifth season.

The kids cable network has picked up 13 episodes of the comedy, which stars as Carly Shay Cosgrove, a teenager who created his Web show with his best friends.

The sitcom is currently broadcast its third season, with the most recent episode drawing 7.4 million viewers. Production of the fourth season begins in May, with episodes running later this year. Production on season 5 starts next year. AGENCIES
