Players ready to put all their energies against India: Afridi
Mohali: Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi said he was fully aware of the importance of their semifinal match against India and Pakistan players put in their efforts to win.
In a telephone interview, he said: "We're not here to fight a battle with India, but we'll just play cricket."
Afridi said: "This is not only a semi-final for us, but we will consider playing the final against India."
To a question on the inclusion of Shoaib Akhtar in the crucial match, he said the management team has been reviewing its capacity and other aspects, so it was not yet finalized.
About other players, he said they were fully confident and ready to play the game in high tension with India.
To another question he said that the Indian media reports for the Pakistani team are negative, but we will answer their questions with our performance.
Pakistani captain said, no doubt Sachin Tendulkar was a great player and also the Pakistani team there was more pressure on our team in front, as they were also the host of the mega-event.
Shahid Afridi's appeal to the people of Pakistan to pray for the team and said they will not disappoint.
