Obama ups pressure, Libya rebels rule out talks



Brega: Barack Obama, said that all options on the table for driving the head of Libya's Muammar Qaddafi from power, the rebels angrily ruled out talking to a dictator with blood on his hands.
Despite the serious reservations expressed by the U.S. military command, Obama said no-fly zone between the "full range" of options as he has demanded that al-Qadhafi, "away from power and leave."
Forces continued to hold strong veteran, who ruled the oil-rich North African state for 41 years, have been bombing rebel positions in Libya in the east and thousands of people desperately trying to flee the country.
Recent air raids around the vital oil installation Brega were designed to scare the rebels with nothing to cause serious damage, Gaddafi's son Seif al-Islam said.
"It's oil and gas center of Libya," he said, promising the regime will do everything possible to return the port.
The rebels managed to repel the attack at dawn Brega on Wednesday in the first real military battle against the Libyan uprising began Feb. 15.
Quilting Libyan opposition now controls the eastern and western parts of Libya, including the cities of Benghazi and several oil facilities. Gaddafi is still firmly in control of the capital Tripoli.
More than 100.000 people have left Libya to escape the violence that killed at least 1000, according to conservative estimates of the UN.
The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague stated that Qadhafi and key aides facing investigation for alleged crimes against humanity.
