First hat-trick of 2011 World Cup



NEW DELHI: West Indies pace bowler Kemar Roach recorded the first hat-trick at the 2011 World Cup match against Holland in Group B on Monday.

He took Peter Seelaar, Bernard Loots and Berend Westdijk of the last three deliveries of the match to lead West Indies 215-Run victory.

Mate Suleiman Benn praised Roach, who finished with figures six to 27, the Dutch skittled for 115.

"A brilliant man. His bowling today was exceptional, I am very happy for him," said Benn.

"I'm glad he got that hat-trick - I am very proud of him." (Reuters)
