Kings Speech crowned with Oscars gold
Hollywood: The royal drama "The matter of the King" was crowned with a gold Oscar on Sunday, with three of the award of the Academy Awards, including Best Actor for self-mocking Englishman Colin Firth.
The film picked up the coveted best film and best director awards, as well as the Firth gong for his portrayal of stuttering with King George VI, assisted by the Australian coach of the vote rally wartime Britain.
Best Original Screenplay Oscar completed four distances - as well as Hi-Tech thriller "Initial" and one more than that, the movie "Social Networking", which is disappointing night after a tip is probably the best film.
Screenwriter David Seidler used his speech at the joke to thank the Queen Elizabeth II, in particular, as well as stutterers everywhere.
"I would like to thank Her Majesty the Queen for not putting me in the Tower of London" with regard to placement of swear words into the mouth of George VI. "And I accept it on behalf of all stutterers worldwide.
"We have a voice, we heard," said Seidler, who himself suffered from stuttering, repeating a line from the movie.
"Social Networking", was nominated in eight categories, an Oscar, ended up going home with only three, and none of the major ones: film editing, original score and adapted screenplay for writer Aaron Sorkin.
Sorkin later gave Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, whose image in the film is not too flattering.
"I think he was a very good sport about it," he told reporters. "I do not know if any of us wants to film, based on when we were 19."
"Start", starring Leonardo DiCaprio as a mercenary who goes through people's dreams, won four Oscars: cinematography, visual effects, sound mixing and sound editing, while heavily pregnant with Natalie Portman, as expected, won best actress for his role in violating the ballet thriller "Black Swan".
Boxing film "The Fighter" took two gongs - Best Supporting Actor for Christian Bale, and best supporting actress for Melissa Leo, who were both favorites to win.
In rare critical moment in the drama without the other night, the use of Leo from the F-word in his speech had to be cut from time-delayed broadcast.
"I had no idea, I apologize to whom I have offended," she later said.
"Speech from the Throne," directed by Tom Hooper related an amazing story about how he only came to make a movie, thanks to his Australian mother, who was in the audience.
"My mom in 2007 was invited by some Australian friends - it is Australian - in London to play a fringe theater reading unproduced, an unexpected piece titled" Speech of the King, "said 38-year-old Briton.
He explained: "She was never asked to play a reading of his entire life before she almost did not go because it did not sound exactly promising, but thank God it ..
"She called me after and said, Tom, I think I've found your next film. Thus, with this tonight, I honor you and the moral of the story, listen to your mother."
In other prizes, "Toy Story 3," the third installment of the family franchise, starring Woody, Buzz Light year and cooperation. The best animated Oscar as expected.
And the best foreign film prize went to "a better world" by star director of Denmark's Susanne Bier, who defeated the films from Algeria, Canada, Greece and Mexico.
"Oscar" is the culmination of the season award multibillion-dollar film industry and was preceded by months of frantic campaigning for the coveted gold statuettes.
