VIDEO: Tracy Morgan Returns to Nashville to Apologize for Anti-Gay Rant

Tracy Morgan returned to Nashville today and officially apologized for the anti-gay jokes he made during his stand-up show there on June 3

"I want to apologize to my friends, my family and my fans, and everyone in every community that was offended by this," said Morgan.

"I did not know. I did not mean ... I do not have a hateful bone in my body, "added the actor." I do not think anyone should be intimidated or just feel bad for who they are. "

Morgan also said he is proud to use stand-up "to heal" people, not "hurt".

"From my heart ... I'm sorry. "

Morgan June 3 diatribe drew the indignation of the gay rights organizations, including the comment that he had "pulled out a knife and stab" her son to death if he was gay.

The "30 Rock" star later apologized for going "too far" and stressed that it is "not a person of hate."

Last week, Morgan talked with homeless gay teens in New York at a meeting coordinated by GLAAD.
