Prince William & Kate to Face Off in July 4 Dragonboat Race
We know Kate is a rowing boat, but it may be able to helicopter pilot husband Prince William?
As details of the tour were released the couple's highly anticipated North America, royal observers can mark July 4, as in to find out!
Couple's private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, said the day on Prince Edward Island in Canada will include a race across a lake - and it will be convenient.
"Their Royal Highnesses ... team up with runners Dragonboat, each taking a boat - although I hasten to add, did not paddle, but probably driving - and they will race across the lake to the opposite shore where crowds will gather, "Lowther-Pinkerton reveals. "After congratulating the winning team, the couple will be welcomed by First Nations people with a traditional" smudge "ceremony."
Soon after, the royal family will aim to sample some local delicacies, which could include raspberry cordial, chocolate, potato chips covered and famous lobster on the Island. From there, the couple will head to the dunes to the beach, where "young people are engaged in a variety of beach sports, and they will start one of the games and present prizes to the winners of various competitions "Lowther-Pinkerton said.
William will see serious action on the day too. It is due to "participate in a protest Canada's Air Force to a nearby lake. Canadian Search and Rescue Force is the only one in the world to undertake "Waterbirding," a technique whereby a Sea King helicopter performed a controlled landing on water, "says the secretary of the couple.
