Tom Cruise to Star in Sci-Fi ‘Oblivion’

Tom Cruise will star in the sci-fi Oblivion.

The project takes place in an apocalyptic future where most humans live in clouds above Earth uninhabitable prey to an alien life form.

Cruise plays a soldier of the planet responsible for the repair drones that battle aliens. Finally, a woman hangs on the surface and, not surprisingly, changed the course of the adventure.

It is configured to be directed by Joseph Kosinski, the man behind Tron: Legacy.

Production should begin in October.
