Gail Porter recovering after 'being sectioned after suicide attempt'

TV presenter Gail Porter is recovering at his home in London after an apparent suicide attempt.

The Scottish mother of the third was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital after being found with cuts to his arm and chest in his bathroom.

The troubles of the last TV star just a few weeks after she was reported to have made a threat of suicide following an argument with her boyfriend Jonny Davies.

Following the alleged incident at his home in north London on Wednesday night, the presenter, 40, was hospitalized before being evacuated yesterday.

Porter was spotted back at his home in Belsize Park with Davies, 25, and told The Sun: ". I'm fine, thank you very much "

A spokesman for the Met Police said: "Police were called to an address in Belsize Park at about 21.00 am on Wednesday following concerns for the welfare of a resident.

"A woman has been detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to a medical facility.

Although Porter is recovering from his ordeal, his daughter eight years, Honey is staying with his father Dan Hipgrave.

Porter has spoken openly about his 2005 report on pills overdose following the breakdown of her marriage to Hipgrave.
