Gaddafi forces kill seven in Yafran

CAIRO: Forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has killed seven rebel fighters and 11 wounded in attacks on the city of Yafran in western Libya, Friday, a rebel spokesman said one Arab television.

The spokesman read the names of the rebel dead on the satellite channel based in Qatar. Yafran is part of the Western Mountains region, a region inhabited by the Berbers, who are ethnically distinct from most of the Libyans.

Meanwhile, the Libyan government spokesman Ibrahim Moussa refused cluster bombs were used in Misrata.

"I challenge him to prove it, " he said in the capital Tripoli.
