Pak embassy official injured in Nepal attack


KATHMANDU: An official of the Embassy of Pakistan has suffered multiple injuries when he was shot by two unidentified gunmen on Thursday in the Nepalese capital Kathmandu, police said.

Mohammed Asif, who works at the Visa Section of the Embassy of Pakistan, was wounded in his stomach and hand when he was shot near the office on Thursday morning, police said.

He was taken to hospital where he was declared out of danger. "

Witnesses said gunmen fired four shots of him and fled on a motorcycle.

Police arrested five suspects.
