Actress Elisha Cuthbert will again grace television screens Wednesday evening.

The former "24" and "Girl Next Door" starlet resurfaced in the spotlight with her new romantic comedy series, "Happy Endings," which premiered on ABC at 9:30 pm right after "Modern Family" Wednesday.

Promotion of the four-minute pilot episode highlights the close friendship of six best friends who struggle with their own comic crises, including those of Penny (Casey Wilson), a single, lonely gir just turned 30-years trying "JDate," a Jewish dating site blind despair. Hilarity ensues when she spends all night trying to hide the fact she is a Catholic and not 26 as she thinks date.

The principle of "Happy Endings" stems out of a broken marriage. The bride, Alex (Cuthbert), is cold feet at the altar, when a disheveled man still handsome in-line skates on the blocking of marriage and give his love.

Old married Dave (Zachary Knighton) spends the next week, sobbing as he surrounds himself with gifts of open marriage and high school girlfriends rebound.

A week later, he was greeted at the door by her fiance on their honeymoon old, who is decked out with a new tropical tan and a head full of braids tourism.
