Sri Lanka 9-wkt win against Kenya

Colombo: Lasith Malinga became a hit squad of one man, as he became the first person to pick up two World Cup hat-trick to lead Sri Lanka to crushing nine wicket win over Kenya on Tuesday.
Malinga, who missed the opening two matches of his side with back pain, fired back with the wicket of Tanmay Mishra (0), Peter Ongondo (0) and Sim Ngoche (0) with a consistent, complete deliveries, the last two clean hit.
After finishing with a career best six for 38 to dismiss the Africans to 142, Malinga relaxed sitting in the hall, and watched his teammates to score only 18.4 stubbornly overs.
In 2007, Malinga picked up four in a row against South Africa.
This is the second hat-trick in two days at the world championships after Kemar Roach took the last three wickets in 215 Dutch Run victory of the West Indies in Group B on Monday.
Kenya collapsed from a respectable 102-2 to 142 all in 43.4 overs after choosing to bat first, with his brothers Obuya only batsmen to reach double figures.
94-Run partnership between Collins Obuya (52 from 100 balls) and his older brother David (51 from 106 balls) offers hope that Kenya can cross the 200-Run brands, but Malinga became a one man hit team.
He got rid of Collins to the ground, crushing and York in the 32nd over, before returning for his final spell to flatten the Kenyans with breathtaking pace, as he bagged four wickets in five legal balls.
Malinga trapped LBW Mishra with final delivery of his seventh over, and then returned to topple the stumps Ongondo and Ngoche with the first two balls of his next over.
Sri Lankan fans are already dancing in the stands to celebrate the achievements and when Malinga grounded leg stump Elijah Otieno, to capture his sixth victim of the day reflected a deafening roar around the R Premadasa stadium.
Malinga could only shake his mass of blonde-dyed hair in disbelief as he looked to the giant arena scoreboard, which displays a sign reading 6-38 under the picture of a man at the moment.
After Malinga played its part, Sri Lanka knocked runs runs in double quick time, with Tillakaratne Dilshan the only person to fall to 44.
Upul Tharanga ended the match with a boundary hit over the cap to remain unbeaten on 67 scored from 59 balls with 12 fours. Kumar Sangakkara was 27 not out.
It was in Sri Lanka, the second victory in three matches in the group, and Kenya fell to their third consecutive defeat.
