Britain releases UFO sighting and policy files

LONDON: Britain on Thursday released 35 previously classified files documenting observations of unidentified flying objects (UFO's) military and the public since 1950.
The files contain about 8500 pages, which mainly cover the period from 1997 to 2005 and include photographs, drawings and descriptions of the flying saucer observations, as well as the letter of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has directed the witnesses in response to their accounts.
Policemen, soldiers and Royal Air Force (RAF) personnel and members of the public report of the observation sites, including the "chewy mint form of hard ship and air objects resembling the" Ring "," Medusa "and" Silver Voile back on top. "
In one account of a man said that he believed that he was "kidnapped" foreigners in October 1998 after seeing the unidentified ship hovering over his London home and finding he has gained an hour of time in this process.
"It was a great cigar-shaped car with a large shells on each side, both wings," he said MO.
"It seemed that there are two very bright lights on the front and white lights flashing circle under ... As you can imagine, I felt very shocked."
MO wrote the person informing him that the object is probably the airship, adding that once he got, probably the result of hours of being put back one hour on the night of his close encounter.
Another file released the National Archives show how RAF was inundated with calls this morning in 1967 after residents of southern England woke up to find six small UFO sound lying in a perfect line from the island of Sheppey in the Bristol Channel.
Bomb disposal unit detonated one of the UFOs, the other was taken to a south-eastern village of Aldermaston and both the Army and Defense Intelligence were mobilized to what was considered a real "alien invasion".
Later it was found that engineering students at Farnborough Technical College was built and positioned UFOs in an effort to raise money for charity.
"It does raise some questions about what can really happen, if at any point in the future was at some point? - We would be prepared," said David Clarke, author of "UFOs" and consultant to the National Archives' UFO project.
One file of papers experience a retired Air Force officer who said he saw a UFO while on holiday in Sri Lanka in April 2004 and aims to support DoD photo.
"I noticed a partial aura in the sky for a minute or so later was thunder, then some time later, the ring, appeared as a donut," he told defense, adding that he thought it was an air burst. "
In its response, DoD asked him to contact the Government of Sri Lanka.
Other highlights include a file of UFOs Policy of 1997, which shows how the Department of Defense are reports of UFO and the file in detail only a full discussion of UFOs, ever held in the British House of Lords - in January 1979.
MO said he investigated every report of a UFO sighting he had received, to determine "whether there is evidence that the airspace of the United Kingdom may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorized air activity."
