Gaddafi vows to ‘triumph over the enemy



Tripoli: Muammar Gaddafi pledged defiantly on Friday to win over his enemies, strongly urging supporters in the Green Square Tripoli to the Libyan people and to defend its interests oil.

Addressing cheering supporters of the old ramparts of the city looking green area, Gaddafi, wearing a jacket and a hat in winter hunter, who covered his ears, said if necessary it will be open Libya's arsenal of weapons to tribes.

"We can defeat any enemy. We can suppress its people's will. People are armed and, when necessary, we will open arsenals to arm all the Libyan people and all the Libyan tribes," said Gaddafi, who lost parts of their country to the insurgents.

Kisses to supporters and shaking both hands in the air in a dramatic performance, he said: "Be prepared to fight for Libya Be prepared to fight for the dignity Be prepared to fight for oil .... react to them," put them to shame. " and "we can defeat the enemy."

Gaddafi's supporters, some waving green flags taken to Libya's Gaddafi, chanted in response to his incitment: "With our blood and our souls we redeem you, Al-Qadhafi"

Government troops killed at least two protests in the Libyan capital Tripoli on Friday, Arab media reported as a rebellion against Gaddafi closed in on his stronghold. (Reuters)
