EastEnders actress Pam St Clement will be leaving Albert Square after 25 years
She played the mouthy and fashion faux pas prone Pat Butcher on Albert Square for over a quarter century.
But EastEnders actress Pam St Clement, one of the oldest stars in Walford is set to leave the show.
The actress, 69, who joined the show in 1986, is leaving the show at the end of the year
Pam said she had other things she wanted to do, but do concede that the soap would leave a "mourning".
During his years in the show colorful, Pat remarried several times, went to prison and appreciated business with the likes of Lothar Walford infamous Den Watts.
The actress said: "I have enjoyed 25 wonderful years and a half in EastEnders creating the character of Pat, but felt it was time to hang her earrings."
"Leaving the family EastEnders will be akin to a bereavement. But I look forward to further work and the possibilities of life that I will have time to continue. "
It was first observed after storming the place to break the news to Pete Beale that he was not the father of her son Simon Wicks.
Viewers saw the married Frank Boucher, in 1989 and her fourth husband, Roy Evans in 1996.
His most famous scenes in his long career were often times of tragedy, often involving slaps.
In another scene conditions, the case of Pat with her ex-husband, Frank was exposed by Peggy, played by Barbara Windsor, across from the regulars of the Queen Vic, ending with slaps to the pair that the had betrayed.
