Prince William’s Uncle Marries

Charles Spencer, uncle of Prince William and Prince Harry and his younger brother of Princess Diana, wife Karen Gordon philanthropist today the ancestral home of his family in Northamptonshire, England.

Family and close friends attended the private ceremony held at the site where Diana was buried.

This is the third marriage of Spencer.

William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge were not present, although Spencer and Gordon were invited to their wedding in April.

"A longstanding commitment to private" also unable to attend Prince Harry, according to a royal employee.

It is believed the newlyweds will spend most of their time in California, where Gordon lived.
