India successfully test fires Prithvi-II

NEW DELHI: India on Thursday successfully test-fired its surface locally developed surface nuclear capable Prithvi II ballistic missile to 9 pm in the chain of integrated test (ITR) at Chandipur, about 230 km east of Bhubaneswar. The launch was conducted as part of the training exercise regular Armed Forces.

Prithvi II, the first indigenous surface to surface strategic missiles capable of attacking targets at distances of 350 km, reaches the preset target in the Bay of Bengal with high precision better than 10 meters.
