Marie Osmond’s Wedding Dress: Then and Now


When Marie Osmond married first husband Stephen Craig, on Wednesday, it was not difficult to find something old: it has simply recycled her original wedding dress. The star of the song from Ret Turner's dress - long sleeves with a skirt (if Catherine Middleton!) - Out of its archives, updated with a simple veil and pearl pieces. The move was not his original plan - a dress she had designed specially for the occasion was not "right," she tells ET - but it worked wonderfully. "I cleaned my garage and all of a sudden this box shows the pile of things ... and it was this dress and she was five days ago. I'm not joking," she said. "I can not breathe, but I'm in it. " Turner, a renowned costume designer in Hollywood, actually dressed Osmond in his early years, while working on Donny and Marie in 1977. An Emmy winner on several occasions, he also served as costume designer on shows like The Sonny and Cher Show and the family of mom, and won the trophy Costume Designers' Guild for Lifetime Achievement - presented by Osmond - in 2002. Although Osmond did not finish requiring a change in her wardrobe private wedding in Las Vegas, married Craig, for his part, did tuxedos swap, when the first couple married in 1982, he wore white. -Kate Hogan
