Kate Middleton set to eclipse Diana's celeb status

LOS ANGELES: Royal girlfriend Kate Middleton is to be overcome Britain Princess Diana as the most talked about woman in the media world, according to a study released Sunday by the Global Language Monitor.

With two weeks to go before she marries Prince William at London's Westminster Abbey, April 29, Kate Middleton is already posting numbers Diana-type in terms of financial news and celebrity status on sites global media and the Internet and social media, the study.

"Kate Middleton is set to eclipse the star as Lady Di media of the royal family," said Paul JJ Payack, president of Global Language Monitor Texas.

"In fact, Kate could outdo anyone on the Internet, social media, and print and electronic global media mentions when the royal wedding-related stories are set."

The study compared media mentions of Kate Middleton to those of the late Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, Charles and wife Camilla Parker Bowles.
