Christina Aguilera divorced

Wedding singer Christina Aguilera to music executive Jordan Bratman has legally ended.

The pop star was granted a divorce on Friday after the required waiting period of six months from the date of filing divorce papers passed, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The former couple had developed a settlement in February and agreed to share custody of their son three years.

They are believed to have divided their property in accordance with their contract of marriage.

Aguilera is now 25 years old, Matt Rutler, whom she met while working in his film Burlesque.

"In light of last year, there were obvious failures. I experienced a very difficult divorce, and all those who have experienced divorce talk about how the journey is difficult from beginning to end, "she said.
