Gaga's ‘Judas’ battles Rihanna for top spot
LOS ANGELES: It seems that we have a diva in the old battle for No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles next week.
Lady Gaga "Judas", who escaped from the Web Friday morning was released from tip to the iTunes Store, and could debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100 next week.
By Friday morning, it seemed that Rihanna was en route to his 10th No. 1 with "S & M", powered by robust sales and antenna of the track "Rih-mix" featuring Britney Spears. Industry forecasters expect the song can sell almost 300,000 downloads by the end of the week follow-up on Sunday, April 17, against 141,000 in the computer track the last week of pre-remix.
Rihanna was apparently about to spill Katy Perry "AND" (featuring Kanye West), who has spent the last three weeks in pole position on the score. Perry track is likely to move between 260,000 and 270,000 downloads.
But now Gaga herself in the fight for No. 1. While "Judas" was originally scheduled to start in the world next week, leak this morning prompted Interscope Records label Gaga, rushing to release the only access to digital services.
Project Billboard as "Judas" would have to sell north of 350,000 - about 400,000 - less than two and half days of sales in the week, in order to possibly debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Also plays a role in his first Hot 100 ranking is the radio audience impressions of "Judas" will collect until the end of the tracking antenna through April 19. Earlier this week a fast first on radio, similar to "Born This Way" (78.6 million), would certainly cause Gaga No. 1.
