Workers briefly abandon Japan nuclear plant
TOKYO: The workers were ordered to withdraw briefly from the stricken Japanese nuclear power plant on Wednesday after the radiation levels increased, Kyodo News reported that the proposed development of the crisis gets out of control.
Just a few hours before another fire in the earthquake-crippled plant, which sent a low level of radiation sweeps in Tokyo in the last 24 hours, causing fear in the capital and international concern.
France urged its citizens, or to leave Japan, or head to the south and asked Air France to provide aircraft for evacuation. In a statement the French Embassy in Tokyo said two planes were already on their way to the capital.
Scientists and experts said the nuclear solution is proposed to suppress the leakage of radiation at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant were the last-ditch effort to stop what may well be remembered as one of the worst industrial disaster the world.
"It's a slow nightmare," said Dr. Thomas Neff, research affiliate at the Center for International Studies, which is part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The workers were trying to build roads, to fire trucks could reach the affected Number 4 reactor, which was in flames on Wednesday.
Public broadcaster NHK said the fire was no longer visible on the reactor building, but television pictures showed smoke or steam from an object about 0100 GMT.
Japanese officials said they talked with the U.S. military of possible assistance in the factory, 240 km (150 miles) north of Tokyo.
