Prince William: Yes to marriage; no to ring

LONDON: Palace officials say Prince William did not intend to wear a wedding ring after his marriage to Kate Middleton, April 29.

They say itit isa personal choice of the couple.

A spokeswoman who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the political palace said Middleton plans to wear a wedding ring Welsh Gold.

The use of gold for Wales in the royal wedding bands is a longstanding tradition.

Officials say details about the design of the wedding ring of Middleton, and the source of the real Welsh gold used for the user, will be published before the wedding.

There is no word yet on the design of the dress of Middleton, or on the menus and wine selection for both receptions following the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
