Lohan due back in court for necklace theft case



LOS ANGELES: Lindsay Lohan returns to court last week and is not expected to take plea deal in case of theft Grand actress that would return to prison.
"Mean Girls" star has pleaded not guilty to felony Grand Theft, which was filed after the jewelry store told Starlet took the necklace $ 2500 without permission. Lohan back in court comes days after seeing footage of trying on necklaces at Kamofie & Co, which reported a necklace stolen on January 22. It was eventually given to associate Lohan detectives, who had already received a search warrant in Venice home of actress.
"Entertainment Tonight" aired footage that showed Lohan's text messages, to walk and talk to the store clerk for nearly 45 minutes. In the past 10 months, Lohan has been imprisoned twice and sent to rehabilitation twice for probation violations. The judge ordered her to undergo three months of treatment at Betty Ford Center, and it was within three weeks of her release, she was accused of stealing a necklace.
While theft cases are caused more uncertainty for Lohan, 24, the incident might benefit others.
Owners Kamofie & Co. announced Wednesday that they will auction the necklace and donate proceeds for an unspecified charity after the theft case is resolved. Point remains at the disposal of the authorities.
"We have publicly released a videotape, which speaks for itself and accurately record the incident, and we believe that the next step in achieving closure to donate now known jewelry for charity, shop owners, Jeff and Sofia Kaman said in a statement released last week .
