Gaddafi agrees to quit if safety guaranteed: report

LONDON: Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has offered to relinquish power and leave Libya, unless the security of his family and is guaranteed, the London-based Asharq Alawsat newspaper.

In addition, according to the report, Gaddafi asked to be able to travel to any country it chooses without charges in the future.

Benghazi-based National Council of the opposition did not comment, but the paper argues that the general policy of the Council is to reject the talks with Gadhafi, no matter what.
