Suicide bomber kills Afghan intelligence officer
KABUL, Afghanistan: A suicide bomber blew himself up Thursday in southern Afghanistan, killing one Afghan intelligence officer and wounded two dozen others.
As tens of thousands of American, Afghan and coalition troops push to seize control of the Taliban in the south, the rebels intensified their attacks on individuals in accordance with the pro-government forces.
In violence on Thursday, scouts, acting on suspicions stopped the car in the area of Spin Boldak of Kandahar province, said Lutfullah Mashal, spokesman for the Afghan intelligence in Kabul.
Scouts killed by a bomber in a car, "said Meshaal.
Another bomber, who was shot, got out of the car and fell to the ground and acted as if he was dead, he said.
When the scouts went to see him, he detonated his vest full of explosives, Mr Mashal said.
Governor's office reports that 26 people were wounded - 18 civilians and two Afghan police border and six intelligence officers.

Abdul Hakim Isaqzai, police chief of Khost province. He said that police were investigating whether someone has planted a bomb in the school or if someone made one.
