Fire breaks out at ITO's Times of India building, no casualties reported



NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at the Times of India building in central Delhi's ITO area this afternoon at 2pm. The staff was evacuated in time and there no serious damage was caused.
A probe has been initiated to find out the exact cause of the fire.
Employees who were inside the building were immediately evacuated as soon as the alarms were sounded. No casualty was reported.
"Fire tenders reached the spot soon after the incident and the employees were evacuated soon after," said a senior official.
Five fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot, following which another 13 more were sent, a fire official said.
It took an hour to douse the fire and the cooling operations are on.
