Drawing inspiration from an average family's freshly washed clothes pinned on the clothing line, designer Archana Rao presented a rather summery collection for the WIFW autumn/winter 2014.
Each family's clothing line has its own personality and Vogue Fashion Fund winner, Rao presented various versatile combinations that can be conjured from a mix-match of various outfits.
From using daddy’s gingham printed shirt to mommy’s rose motiffed button down tops as an inspiration, this unusual concept did present some interesting designs. Sheer fabric, checkered and floral appliqué patterns brought in a feminine twist to the outfits.
Full-bodied skirts with sheer paneling on the top portion as well as fitted sheath dresses with babydoll sleeves presented in the collection were interesting. Oxford shoes and metal plated belts acessorised well with the relaxed vibe of the showcase.
