And here you thought the trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" is the best movie you would preview this week. The video of Tony Romo (notes) and Candice Crawford marriage is apparently so grandiose in scale
it warrants its own teaser.
1. The fears I had about the video mocking the marriage of a happy young married couple have been mitigated by consecutive shots to play someone on marriage in a newspaper, Romo meticulously grooming stubble and then have his cuffs from a cultured man in a tuxedo.
2. There seems to be many seats in the marquee. Given the recent events in Dallas, I pray that they were all ready in time.
3. Flowers and drinks are expensive, of course, but what you get every time is the vesting of a Coldplay song for the trailer to the wedding video.
4. Smiling faces of the bridesmaids, except the one on the left, who wants total wedding. Either she is disgusted by the fact that it has a Coldplay song stuck in his head.
5. This trailer sets the record for most use of a steadicam out of a Scorsese film. Joking aside, this is a beautifully shot video.
6. The surprise at the end of the ceremony was excellent. It's good to know Romo has had a chance to celebrate with confetti once in a lifetime.
7. In all seriousness, Coldplay?
8. Really, though, it looked like a beautiful wedding and I'm not saying that because of the cigar rolling station. Congratulations to the happy couple and the participants who managed to not have embarrassing dances to the final cut of the track
