Blackhawks Vs. Canucks Score: Late Goal Gives Vancouver 3-1 Lead


The Chicago Blackhawks finally solved Roberto Luongo, but it may have been too late. The Vancouver Canucks draw first blood in the first period, then followed with another goal 30 seconds into the second period to 2-0. Daniel Sedin found the back of the net to end the Canucks power play with a little help from Christian Ehrhoff and Ryan Kesler.

For the first time in this series, covering nearly five times, Chicago has found the back of the net. Just under 15 minutes into the second period wrister Ben Smith, assisted by Bryan Bickell and Brian Campbell broke the dry streak and gave Chicago a glimmer of hope that the Blackhawks to reduce the gap to Vancouver , 2-1.

But with only 14 seconds left in the period, Alexander Edler may have delivered the dagger to the Canucks as he connected on a shot from a laser time just inside the area, cons Corey Crawford in the corner top right of the net to give Vancouver a 3-1 lead. Cody Hodgson and Alex Burrows have been credited with the impressive shot with Edler.

Other than the score, it was a fairly even match. Vancouver has 16 shots in Chicago on 15 and each team has two penalties totally four penalty minutes each. But where it counts, on the dashboard, Vancouver holds a 3-1 lead and 20 minutes to take a 2-0 lead in series.
