Mirpur: Pakistan rocked the West Indies bowlers to stick with their pace and speed as the Caribbean side could break the chains and have lost all their players on 112 runs in their quarter-final clash in Mirpur on Wednesday.
Shahid Afridi was the resumption of the Pakistan bowler as he took four wickets, while Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez has also picked up two wickets each.
West Indies have borne blows as they lost Chris Gayle, Devon Smith and Darren Bravo earlier in their sleeves after Darren Sammy won the toss and elected to bat.
Gayle, while attempting a lofted shot to mid-off, was punched in Shahid Afridi's bowling of Umar Gul.
Mohammad Hafeez, who opened the bowling with Gul then struck twice in one by winning the opener Smith and Bravo.
Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul played cautiously in the middle overs, but Shahid Afridi Sarwan got better when he tried to cut the ball, but gave an easy prey to Umar Akmal developed.
