Free Games: Pokémon Sun/Moon release date and starter pokémon revealed

The new mainline Pokémon sequel for the 3DS will be out this November in Europe, as the first three pocket monsters are unveiled.
What is essentially Pokémon 7 will be released on November 23 in the UK (November 18 in North America), as the game is shown in action for the first time.
The games were officially announced back in February but the video below shows actual in-game footage for the first time. This includes the new Alola region, which as you might be able to guess is inspired by Hawaii.
There’s not too much elsee to be gleaned from the footage though, other than rival trainers are visible as a battle begins and the graphics look really good.

The most important detail from the new trailer is the three starter pokémon, one of which you’ll be able to select at the start of the game. Your choices are Rolet, an owl-like creature that’s both a grass and flying type; Litten, a fire type pokémon that looks like a cat; and Poppilo, a water type pokémon that looks like a performing seal.
Clearly Litten is the best one and we can’t wait to have our one, who we will name Charlie, punch Poppilo on its stupid nose.
You can also see what look like some legendary pokémon at the end of the video, with one each feature on the box art you see below. Although it’s unclear if the game will be at E3 next month, as Nintendo has said they’re only showing the new Wii U Zelda game.
If all this puts you in a Pokémon battling kind of mood, then it’s the Pokémon UK National Championships this weekend in Liverpool. And if you don’t happen to be the area there’s a Twitch channel each for for the video game championships, the trading card championships, and the Pokkén Tournament championship series.
