Fielder’s stock soars after All-Star blast

PHOENIX - The boos were a thing. Prince Fielder (notes) can handle the boos. Ditto for the taunts of his
weight, the cracks on his beard scraggly and all the other fans start nonsense. This week's All-Star Fielder was ugly for Tuesday when angry fans took their anger on the family of the star of the Milwaukee Brewers is.

On the day of each game All-Star, Major League Baseball is making a red carpet and began a short procession of convertibles to the stadium. Fielder drove in one with his wife, Chanel, and his son Jadyn, 6, and Haven, 5. Still bitter that Fielder had not chosen stars Justin Upton Arizona Diamondbacks (notes) to participate in Monday
Home Run Derby night, fans began to throw water on the car Fielder, Chanel said, reviving questions from children about what, exactly, their father wrong.

"It was just ridiculous," said Chanel.

It would be laughable now, of course, because the prince was holding the crystal stick awarded to MVP of All-Star Game, his three-run home run all the National League needed 5-1 victory over the American Hockey League at Chase Field. The boos continued until Fielder two strike up a cutter Texas pitcher CJ Wilson (note) off the
tippy-top of the fence and it left center field. Only when the fickle fans seem to remember playing Fielder in the same league as the Arizona Diamondbacks home.

"I did not take it too personal," said Fielder, and some family members stifled giggles. Fielder, they said, it took far too personal. It's hard to blame him. His children did not understand why people in Arizona so hated his father.

Ditto for Rickie Weeks (notes), Brewers second baseman and their
sponsor. Uncle Rickie, as they call it, was the most questionable choices derby Fielder, and he did not exactly acquit himself losing the first round.
