Brad Pitt on Same-Sex Marriage Laws: “Soon This Discrimination Will End”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are happily single (despite the claims of some tabs), but the actor's commitment to equality of marriage is stronger than ever.

"It is encouraging that New York has joined the movement to grant equal marriage rights for its citizens," he said in a statement to People, in response to the recent decision of the state to legalize gay marriage.

"But there is a constitutional right of every American to marry the person they love no matter what state they live. No state should decide who can marry and who can not."

"Thanks to the tireless work of so many years, one day soon this will end discrimination and every American can enjoy their right to equal marriage."

Pitt and Jolie once famously said that they never marry until everyone had the same opportunity.
