‘X-Men: First Class’ Takes First Place; ‘Hangover’ Still Strong [UPDATED]
Superheroes beat the Wolfpack at the box office this weekend.
X-Men: First Class won $ 54 million for first place, which makes opening ever for a film about the involvement of mutants in the Cuban missile crisis.
The hangover of Part II continued to do well in its second week, raking in $ 33.5 million to come in second place.
Kung Fu Panda 2 secured third place with $ 25 million.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and bridesmaids came in fourth and fifth with 19 million and $ 12.5 million, respectively.
To complete the top ten were Thor (4.2 million), Fast five (3.4 million), Midnight in Paris (2.7 million), Something Borrowed (1 million) and Jumping the Broom ($ 825,000).
