Zimbabwe beat Kenya by 161-run

Kolkata: Zimbabwe convincingly overcame Kenya by 161 runs in a Group A match of World Cup 2011 at the Garden of Eden in Kolkata on Sunday.
Kenyans were bowled out for 147 in reply to Zimbabwe 308.
After a solid batting performance against the mighty Australian team, Kenya was expected of them and in their last match of the tournament. However, they did not have a good day and finished their campaign without success.
Obviate wicketkeeper drummer David and Alex Obanda started the sleeves for their team, but the keeper did not give a good start to his team as he was dismissed in the first over without scoring a run.
The first drop obviate Collins had a tournament relatively good compared to his teammates, but was unfortunately out of print after scoring only 1 run off 6 balls.
Kenya captain Steve Tikolo replacing, which was probably playing his last game of the World Cup, looked impressive early in his innings. However, the veteran can only manage 10 runs from 14 balls.
Obanda seemed good, but he was unable to capitalize on the start it was his turn to bat. The opening batsman scored 23 runs 36 balls before going out. It was followed by Tanmay Mishra, who did not go. It was after adding only 4 tracks in total.
Thomas Odoyo and Rakep Patel gave some hope to the team with a 29-run stand for the sixth wicket, but Odoyo gave his wicket away after scoring 14 runs from 29 balls. Patel was unable to continue on the start he had, as he was dismissed after the addition of 24 tracks in total.
Nehemiah Odhiambo struck well for his team, he scored 44 unbeaten runs of 47 balls. He went out of partners from the other end, like the whole team has been seduced by for 147 in 36 overs.
The spinners of Zimbabwe upset well for their team. Ray Price, Graeme Cremer and Greg Lamb took two wickets. Prosper Utseya, Chris Mpofu also well done and took a wicket each. Craig Ervine has been named Man of the Match for his brilliant 66 runs off 54 balls.
