updated Suicide blast' hits Afghan capital Kabul




A suicide attack in the Afghan capital, Kabul, police say.

The blast happened near a hotel and shopping center. Gunfire perceived sound after the blast.

It is unclear whether there are many sufferers or the area of damages.

Last month, at least eight people were killed in a suicide attack at a supermarket popular with foreigners in Kabul. The Taliban took the responsibility of that attack

Monday's attack is attention to have begun when a suicide bomber set off explosives near the way in to the shopping area.

There was a suicide attack - one person blew himself up - and other rebellious went into the building," Col Baloch Orikhil, the director of criminal investigation for the Kabul police, said according to Associated Press news agency.

Right away after the blast exchanges of gunfire took place between insurgents and security forces.

The Afghan interior ministry said at least three people had been killed in the attack and others had been injured.
